Delete Your Account and Data

You can delete your Samsūtra account and its data at any time. This also removes any Instagram or Facebook connection.

How to delete

In the app (straight away)

Open Samsūtra and go to My Shop.
At the bottom, tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted at once, and we email you to confirm.

Without the app

Email privacy@samsutraai.com from the email you sign in with, with the subject Delete my account. We confirm by email that it's you, delete the account within 30 days (usually within 2 working days), and email you when it's done.

What is deleted

Your account, business profile, logo and photos
All posts, captions, ratings and activity
Instagram and Facebook connections and their access tokens, and pilot requests
Your phones' notification tokens

What is kept

Bills and payment records, which tax law requires us to keep (currently up to 8 years). Posts already published to Instagram or Facebook stay there, because they are on your own accounts; you can delete them in those apps.

Only disconnecting Instagram or Facebook

In the app: My Shop → Auto-post → Disconnect. Or in Instagram or Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites → remove Samsūtra. Either way we can no longer publish. Disconnecting in the app also deletes the stored token straight away.
